Earrings are cut from brass, formed, powder coated and finished with oxidized sterling silver and sterling silver ear posts.

The Nova Collection has been a work in progress for some time, and I am happy to share it with you now. I chose "Nova" because it means “new, rebirth,” and the pieces in The Nova Collection all exist as something else (powder coated to a “finished state”) before I manipulate them into something new. The texture and color created after this manipulation often possess a celestial quality. This work is in some way a collaboration between me and the process, as I have little control over the ultimate surface. The pieces are all still cut from brass and powder coated, but I have gone a couple of steps further, manipulating the powder coat before adding a clear coat on top to protect the new finish. All pieces in The Nova Collection are one-of-a-kind and cannot be fully replicated.
